We focus on fast manual entry and "Workzones" to help you manage multiple income streams (like a job + a side hustle) in one place without commingling funds.
Expense6 offers a generous Free Tier that includes unlimited expense tracking and basic Workzones. We also offer a Premium subscription that unlocks advanced features like Receipt Scanning, Unlimited Invoicing, and Multi-Currency support.

Yes, this is exactly why we built Workzones. You can create a "Personal" zone for home expenses and a separate "Business" zone for your freelance work or company. Each zone has its own budget and categories, keeping your finances completely separate.
Absolutely. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Since we do not store banking login credentials, your financial risk is zero. We use enterprise-grade security standards to ensure your records are safe.

App features & functions

Workzones are like separate workspaces within the app. You can switch between them instantly. For example, use one zone for your "Personal Wallet" and another for your "Rental Property." This prevents your business lunch from messing up your personal grocery budget.
Yes. You can set a base currency for your main account (e.g., LKR) and track expenses in other currencies (e.g., USD, AUD) within specific Workzones. This is perfect for freelancers earning in foreign currencies or for tracking travel expenses.
Simply take a photo of any receipt using the in-app camera. Our AI automatically extracts the date, merchant, and total amount. You can then verify the details and save it. The digital copy is stored in the cloud, so you can throw away the paper version.
Yes. You can invite other users to specific Workzones. For example, share your "Home" zone with your spouse to track household bills together, or give your accountant "View-Only" access to your "Business" zone for tax purposes.
Yes. Expense6 has a built-in invoicing tool. You can generate professional PDF invoices, track who has paid, and record the payment directly into your income category—all without leaving the app.

Integrations & compatibility

Currently, we do not offer direct API integration. However, you can export all your data in CSV or Excel formats that are formatted to be easily imported into major accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
Yes. You can generate detailed reports (PDF or CSV) for any date range. These reports are designed to be "Accountant Ready," categorized exactly how tax professionals prefer to see them.
Expense6 is available on both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. We also have a web portal coming soon for Premium users to manage their finances from a desktop browser.
Yes. You can add expenses, scan receipts, and view your dashboard without an internet connection. Your data will automatically sync to the cloud the next time you go online.
Yes, Expense6 fully supports system-wide Dark Mode on both iOS and Android for a comfortable viewing experience at night.

Support & troubleshooting

If you are locked out, tap "Forgot PIN" on the login screen. We will send a secure reset link to your registered email address. For security reasons, we cannot reset passwords manually via support chat.
You can contact our support team directly through the app by going to Settings > Help & Support. Alternatively, you can email us at support@expense6.com. We typically respond within 24 hours.
While our OCR is highly accurate, poor lighting or crumpled receipts can cause errors. You can manually edit any field (Amount, Date, Merchant) after scanning before you save the transaction.
Yes. We believe in data ownership. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently erase all your data from our servers. This action is irreversible.
No. As long as you created an account (via Email, Google, or Apple ID), your data is securely synced to the cloud. Simply log in on your new device, and all your history will appear automatically.
